About Us...
COMMUNITY GOES WILD OVER THE
STEPPING STONE PLAYERS!
In August 2000, our inaugural production
of The Wizard of Oz was hugely successful due, in no
small part, to the cast who brought heart and enthusiasm
as individuals to be part of a company. Forty
kids and adults spent three months rehearsing with a
director, vocal coach and choreographer working hard
towards the common goal of a superior production.
Every performance sold out to standing room only!
As a result, we earned the support of the Glendale Unified
School District, the Glendale News-Press, and families
and businesses citywide!
Since Wizard, The Stepping Stone Players
have forged ahead with productions of popular musicals
such as Peter Pan, Bye-Bye Birdie, Annie, and West Side
Story. As our support in the community and beyond
grows, so does our ability to expand our programs and
community outreach, such as our ASL interpreted performances
which have enabled an important part of the population
the ability to enjoy our productions.

Programs
As a non-profit theatre dedicated to
reaching out to the community it serves, the Stepping
Stone Players has implemented several programs with
that goal in mind. Our Education
program was developed with the idea of introducing our
school-aged children to the enriching world of theatre
by encouraging them to create original plays, set designs
and costumes with the ultimate goal of seeing them utilized
by our group.
Our mentoring program allows those individuals
who are interested in the "behind the scenes"
jobs such as lighting and set design the chance to explore
and acquire new skills through shadowing and learning
from the various professionals that help run our productions.
Our Community Outreach program is constantly
seeking new avenues to open our productions to a wider
range of audiences.
We are proud to be able to provide ASL
interpreted performances of our productions.

Support
As a non-profit corporation, the Stepping
Stone Players relies on the generosity of businesses
and individuals for its success. Please contact
us to make a tax-deductible donation of any kind, and
help us to continue to bring the experience of theatre
to our children and the community!
